Open positions

Tea room servers

We are currently seeking servers for all three of our tearooms in Arlington, Belmont and Lexington.
As a Tearoom Server, you are the face of the Vintage Tea and Cake Company experience. You’ll welcome guests, guide them through our afternoon tea offerings, and deliver thoughtful, attentive service that makes every visit feel special.

What you’ll do:

• Provide warm, friendly, and attentive service to all guests
• Serve afternoon tea with care and attention to detail
• Explain menu items, teas, and seasonal offerings with confidence
• Set and maintain beautiful tables using our vintage china
•Keep the tearoom clean, organized, and inviting

What we’re looking for:

Positive, energetic, and personable attitude
Strong communication and hospitality skills
An eye for detail and presentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Previous service experience is a plus, but not required


Tearoom Manager

The Tearoom Manager is responsible for leading daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting a positive, high-performing team environment.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee day-to-day tearoom operations and service flow
• Lead, train, and support the tearoom team
• Ensure consistently high standards of hospitality and presentation
• Prepare sandwiches and organize desserts
• Handle guest feedback with care and professionalism
• Maintain a welcoming, organized, and efficient space

What we’re looking for:

• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Passion for hospitality and guest experience
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in food service, retail, or hospitality management
• A hands-on, proactive approach and attention to detail


Event Team Members (Catering)

As part of our Event Team, you’ll help bring our signature afternoon tea experience beyond the tearoom—supporting beautifully executed catering events across a variety of settings.

What you’ll do:

• Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of catering events
• Transport and style vintage china, food displays, and service stations
• Serve guests with professionalism and warmth
• Support the team to ensure events run smoothly and on time
• Represent the brand with care and attention to detail
• A vehicle is required for this position

What we’re looking for:

• Energetic, reliable, and team-oriented mindset
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift and carry event equipment as needed
• Strong sense of responsibility and organization
• Experience in events or catering is helpful, but not required
